This is a single cask bottling of Glenfarclas from their Family Cask Series, where most of the casks ear-marked for this series are selected by owner George Grant himself! This was a 4th fill sherry butt #1963, meaning that most of the flavours are the actual spirit character itself and not so much of the sherry cask.
Tasting notes:
Cereals, green malts, leafy, hint of mint. Fresh citrus, malty, punchy to start, needs a bit of water. With water, more vanilla appears, biscuity, peppery, might still be a tad young coming from a slightly tired cask. But still really good to analyse.
