A bottling of Loch Lomond single malt by Whisky Doris in Germany. Loch Lomond has been quite under-rated until quite recently. They are very adventurous with their production, utilising various yeast strains, different types of stills, and different types of casks to mature their whiskies, and the result is fantastic.
A bit bready, preserved lemons, nutty, grassy. A very interesting palate. Definitely funky. There are some nice citrus fruits, more lime. Zesty and fresh. Then almond praline, sawdust, stewed fruits. Beautiful dram.
