Join us in welcoming Gareth and Angela Andrews, owners and distillers of the Fleurieu Distillery back to Melbourne. Not a new name in the industry anymore, but for those unfamiliar, Fleurieu Distillery is located in the river port town of Goolwa, South Australia facing the wild southern ocean. Because of the conditions there, their barrels mature quite differently to most other distilleries in Australia.
We have always been massive fans of theirs, and right from their 1st release, we fell in love with their ethos, their passion for what they are doing, and most importantly their whiskies! For a little distillery that started not too long ago, this couple has achieved a tremendous lot ... winning well-deserving accolades and gold medals left, right and centre.
In this tasting, we will be tasting some of their recent colabs with Mark Bouris & Andrew Nugent of Bird in Hand Winery; their bourbon barrel only work-in-progress blend; as well as some of their award-winning bottlings.
