2022 Yamazaki Limited Edition "Tsukuriwake" Selection Tasting with Brand Ambassador Tom Scott

With all the hype and demand for Japanese whiskies these days, it is almost impossible to find, let alone purchase any rare or limited releases of Japanese whiskies. It has been quite a few years since Yamazaki released anything from their "Tsukuriwake" Selection. What used to be an annual release in the past is now extremely limited.

The "Tsukuriwake" Selection breaks down and highlights the different components that make up our standard Yamazaki Distiller's Edtion, 12yo and 18yo. This year sees the Yamazaki  Puncheon, Yamazaki Sherry Oak, Yamazaki Peated Malt, and Yamazaki Mizunara being featured. A quick search online will bring you to auction sites with the set going for as high as GBP 7600! But we do not believe in flipping bottles, and therefore it would only be fair for us to crack them open and share them with you.

For this occasion, we have also invited whisky ambassador for Beam Suntory Australia, Tom Scott, to come share his passion and knowledge about the brand and the company's long history and ethos with us. 

A tasting with just 4 whiskies is not really a tasting is it? Therefore, we are throwing in the Yamazaki 12yo and Yamazaki 18yo in the line-up too.
