This is quite a unique Bakery Hill that was matured firstly in virgin French oak for 2 years and then followed by more than 10 years in American Oak. The malt was very lightly peated. We first tried a prototype of this when David and Andrew brought it to a tasting that we did back in 2019, and immediately everyone that tried it loved it.
The nose has lots of rose petals, Turkish Delight. It's a little syrupy, a hint of golden syrup, zesty and floral. There is a tiny hint of peat, sweet and syrupy with a great balance and mouthfeel. Again comes that Turkish Delight and rosewater. Malty with some red apples and plums. Long finish.
