This is a joint bottling between Sansibar in Germany & Spirits Shop Selection in Taiwan. The whisky is a Caol Ila 1990/2016 26yo, matured in a bourbon cask, and bottled at natural cask strength of 49.2%. The cask yielded 210 bottles.
Tasting note:
The Caol Ila is still pretty smoky for its age. There is a beautiful perfume, a touch floral, with some yellow fruits. Palate is sweet and juicy, very expressive. Lots of minerality, stewed fruits, smoky and elegant. Balanced with a long and gentle finish.
