This is a single cask bottling of a mid-1980's Caol Ila 35yo by Single Malts of Scotland under their Director's Special label. Only the very best casks are selected by the Director to be bottled under this label. Only 144 bottles came out of this cask.

Tasting note:
Fresh, vibrant and still peaty. Some sea spray, seaweed, sweet orchard fruits, vanilla, and some old leather. Palate is soft with that lovely gentle peat. Salty and slightly herbal. Preserved lemons, ashy. and some nice minerality. Well balanced and elegant. Truly a magical whisky.
