Join us in another tasting of That Boutique-y Whisky. The brand has been around for a number of years now, but has mainly focused in the UK. They were launched by UK-based spirits producer and retailer, Master of Malt, and they bottle single malts, single grains, bourbons, gins, rums, and they also produce blended malts and blends. These whiskies are usually adorned by cultish, novel-style, quirky labels that sometimes feature prominent figures from the whisky industry. They are often filled with in-house jokes and terrible puns.
When they first started, the whiskies did not come with any age statements. But from 2016 onwards, all single malts now have the age statements, due to the interest of whisky fans, and also part of supporting the campaign of Scotch whisky transparency that John Glaser of Compass Box launched earlier that year.
We are very privileged to have Asia Pacific Sales Manager, Simon McGoram join us in-person at the bar for this tasting. Simon is not a new face in the industry and he brings with him a wealth of knowledge and lots of quirky and fun stories (seems to be a pre-requisite with TBWC).
We will be tasting through a bunch of whiskies from the latest batch of TBWC Home Nations range (Scotland, England, Northern Ireland and Wales)! This is definitely not a tasting you want to miss.
