A single cask bottling of Glenrothes that was bottled for Whisky Fair Limburg in 2017. The Glenrothes was matured for 20 years in a refill sherry hogshead and yielded 240 bottles. Bottled at natural cask strength of 49.8%.
Tasting notes
Nose: Full and rich. Wood varnish. Savoury and spicy with cardamon and sherry spices. Dark chocolate.
Palate: Tannic and chewy. Coffee and 90% dark chocolate, Dry palate.
